As you can see, the top position of searched categories is “lesbian” porn, with a close tie for runners up are the searches “teen” and “step mom”. Even though these top 10 categories haven’t changed very much over the past few years, we are experiencing a rise in more specific searches since 2014, such as “celebrity sex tape”, “man eating pussy”, or “massage hidden cam”. People seem to be exploring the possibilities of specified searches to find porn videos in their immediate fantasy niche. Even so, data does show that older people still tend to search for more broad terms such as “nude”, “soft”, and “boobs” (aww)!

Their data goes to show that the phrases “teen”, “MILF”, “mom”, and “step mom” still have the highest ranking positions in male searches. This differs quite strongly from the top search phrases of women, which ranges in more different categories; “lesbian”, “threesome”, “squirt”, and “gangbang”.
This data shows the top searches, and we’ve found that the actual viewed video categories differ slightly from the searched terms. This can be due to the wrong categorization of the videos, or that people become more attracted to different categories after searching. In this graph we can see that the viewed videos of females differ after the top position of “lesbian” from the searched terms; “gay (male)”, “teen” and “for women”. With males this does not seem to be the case, as they stick more to their searched terms; “teen”, “MILF” and “mature” .
Porn tastes over the years
Due to the continuously increasing interest in online porn, we are able to view the changes of searched porn categories throughout the years. This graph shows the rise of “teen” porn in the last four years, while “mom” and “MILF” was at the top before. While the term “mom” has been kicked of the top position, it does remain in one of the top three positions, with the category “lesbian” joining in 2014.
